Gloria Dell Powe Moses

July 29, 1935 - April 6, 2022

Gloria Dell Powe Moses was born on July 29, 1935 to the late Lynnwood and Lela Powe of Bogalusa, LA.

Gloria married Wilton Moses in 1955. They had three children, Vertress (Annie) Moses, Terrance (Anna) Moses of Varnado, and Olga Levi of Houston, TX.

Gloria was one of the founders of the Professional Women Service Club and past President. She was also instrumental in organizing the Spartan’s Bowling League in 1984.

Gloria joined Salter’s Chapel at an early age. She later joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Varnado under the leadership of Rev. Dr. A.S. Nelson.

She leaves to mourn her legacy and precious memories three children, and seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three great great- grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynnwood and Lela Powe; her husband, Wilton Moses; her brothers, Larry and Lynwood Jr.

Drive-thru visitation will be held at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

The funeral service will be held at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Byron Muse, Pastor - Officiating.  

Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa has been entrusted with arrangements.
