Irma Jean Crain

Irma Jean Crain slipped peacefully away to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 15, 1937 to Margaret Brumfield Williams and Phillip Hayward in Lewiston, LA.
Irma accepted Christ at an early age, later in life she joined and attended the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church until her health declined. She was joined in holy matrimony to Harry P. Scott to this union; eleven children were born; five boys and six girls,
Irma raised three grandchildren as her own, Lanequia Scott, LinTerrickia Magee and Stephon “Boona” Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry P. Scott; two daughters, Valeria M. and Gwendolyn Scott; one son, Linzie “Bull” Scott; four sisters, and three brothers
Irma’s life will always and forever be cherished in the lives of her four sons, Webster “PeeWee” Scott, Michael A. (Glenda) Scott, Fredrick (Silvan) Scott, and Daneal D. Scott of Bogalusa; four Daughters, Sinatra (L.C.) Jefferson, Theresa S. Wilson, Stephanie (Denver) Meyers, and Ursula Scott; Step-daughter, Shelonti Jones; two brothers, Jarrell Williams and Arthur Williams; Daughter in Law, Juliette N. Scott and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, A special friend and devoted caregiver, Cramer Dyson.
Drive-thru visitation will be held at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Raymond E. Mims, Pastor - Officiating.
