Matthew Zeke Galloway

July 20, 1999 - April 9, 2022

Matthew Zeke Galloway, age 22 and a resident of Franklinton, LA, passed away at his home on April 9, 2022. Matthew worked as a fabricator at Avon Fabrication. He also worked at his family business, Tina’s Custom Upholstery. He loved fishing and playing the guitar, but most of all he loved the company of his nieces and nephew.

He was survived by his mother, Deborah “Tina” Carney of Franklinton, LA; two brothers: Brian Long, Jr. and James Andrew “Drew” Galloway, Jr.; two sisters: Andrew “Drew” Newcomb and Kayla Walker Lawrence; grandparents: Deborah “Jill” and Morris Spears; one nephew: Alexzander Pounds; two nieces: Desirae Pounds and Magnolia “Maggie” Newcomb; and a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Galloway, and his grandparents, Louise Boone Galloway and Mack Sharky Galloway.

Visitation will be held At Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10AM until time of service at 1PM. Bro. Keith Branch will be officiating service. Interment will immediately follow at Pounds Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA. 

Pallbearers are as follows: Zane Pounds, Cruise Pounds, Clint Spears, Robert Graves, Darrell McCain, and Bobby Latino and two honorary pallbearers are Brian Long, Jr. and Jesse Young.
