Alice Lena Lotts

July 3, 1940 - March 21, 2022

Alice Lena Lotts was born in Magnolia, Mississippi, on July 3, 1940 to the union of Howard Smith and Mary Lee Cotton. She was the youngest sibling of five children. Alice was called home to be with God, peacefully departed this life, and gained her wings on Monday night March 21, 2022 at the age of 81.

Growing up in Magnolia, Ms., Alice was baptized at the young age and accepted Christ into her life. She attended school until 9th grade, worked in the fields of Pike Country, and later became a housekeeper and homemaker. Alice married the late Alex Lotts and to this union they had two daughters.

After the death of her husband, Alice moved to Bogalusa, La. where she spent most of her life. Alice dated her longtime companion Cleon "Peter" Henry of Bogalusa, La. While in Bogalusa, she dedicated most of her time to raising her grandchildren and Godchildren. Her sweet humble spirit was felt with anyone she met and will continue to live in our hearts forever.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Lotts of New Orleans, La., her oldest daughter, Janice Lotts of Bogalusa, La., her parents, Howard Smith and Mary Lee Cotton of Magnolia, Ms., her grandparents Luther and Alice Grinnels of Magnolia, Ms, her sisters Hazel Gardner and Lottie Hurst of Magnolia,Ms., her brothers Eugene Cotton and Robert Earl Cotton of Magnolia, Ms., and a favorite uncle John W. Brumfield of Bogalusa,La.

Alice leaves her loving memories in the heart of her youngest daughter Lena Lotts of Bogalusa, La., her two Goddaughters Sarah Climeson of Sandy Springs, Ga., and Connie Martin of Bogalusa,La., her seven grandchildren Cleon "Dewight" Lotts, Brandon Lotts of Bogalusa,La., La'Shondra (Chris) Lotts- Levi of Baton Rouge,La., Ti'Shondra Jackson, Roderick Lotts, Brian Jackson, Broderic Lotts all of Bogalusa,La., ten great-grandchildren Tamera Lotts, Trenati Lotts, Bryln Jackson, Brian Jackson,Jr., NyLia Moses, Lanston Williams, Benjamin Archie, Brennan Jackson, DaMaris Lotts, Aidan Jackson all of Bogalusa, La., and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be at 12:00 PM on April 2, 2022 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
