Frankie Mae Pope

January 15, 1925 - February 6, 2022

Frankie Mae Pope, age 97 and of Tylertown, MS, passed away Sunday, February 06, 2022; she was born Thursday, January 15, 1925 in Bogalusa, LA.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Tylertown Baptist Church from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 PM with Rev. Justin Knight and Rev. Buddy Day officiating. Burial will follow in Oral Cemetery.  Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Frankie was a longtime member of Tylertown Baptist Church and served for many years at the Walthall Hospital in the Ladies Auxiliary. She had a special love for America’s Armed Forces and the Wounded Warrior Project. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Frankie enjoyed spending many hours in bible study and prayer.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Pope; father Reverend Ernest Earl Seal; mother Katherine Pearl Seal; brother Woodrow Seal;  sister Dovie Toney;  grandsons Darrel Hughes and Chris Pope.

Survivors include her sons Richard Pope and Joe Pope (Connie); daughters Linda Hughes (Edward), Laura Lee, and Susan Garman (Bill); 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Pat Harvey, Peyton Harvey, Jonathan Garman, Allen Pope, Kenneth Pope, and Wesley Watson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Blackwell, Joseph Edward Pope III, Brantley Vicknair, Jace Conerly, Tanner Watson, Karl McCarthy, Kenneth Seal, Donald Seal, Ronald Pope, Kenneth Pope, Tommy Margiatta, Bill Garman, Caelyn Garman, and George Forbes.
