Obituary

Jamie Earl Stinson

February 21, 1973 - January 2, 2022

Jamie Earl Stinson, age 48 and a resident of Mount Hermon, passed away Sunday night January 2, 2022 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital after a brief illness. He was a 1991 graduate of Mt. Hermon High School where he played on the Yellow Jacket baseball team. Jamie worked in HVAC and refrigeration for Deem, LLC and earlier in life worked alongside his family in the dairy business. He always loved working his cows and driving his tractors, anything to do with farming was his true passion in life. Jamie enjoyed fishing and building model tractors and big-rigs. Jamie will be forever missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Survived by: Wife: Kim Strahan Stinson of Mt. Hermon; 5 Daughters: Jaina Stinson, Jacie Stinson, Jodie Beth Stinson, Loran Olivia Stewart, Haven Stewart; Siblings and Spouses: Travis and Darlene Stinson of Mt. Hermon, Peggy and George Jones, Jr. of Varnado, Michael Stinson of Mt. Hermon; Aunts and Uncles: Ruth McElveen, Harvey and Emma Lee Miller; Father in law and Mother in law: Billy and Brenda Strahan of Petal, MS; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Toni and Billy Scronce, Missy and Zack Phillips, Bill Harvison; Also numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents Ansel Stinson and Dorothy Miller Stinson

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday January 5th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Billy Galloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery.
