Rebecca Rosaline Smith

February 3, 1943 - December 27, 2021

Mrs. Rebecca Rosaline Smith, 78, a resident of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, died at the Forrest County General Hospital in Hattiesburg on Monday, December 27, 2021.

Memorial service will be held at a later date at the Rushing Cemetery. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born February 3, 1943 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Buford Maurice and Vertile Seals Miller. 

She and her late husband, James H. Smith founded and served the Jesus Name Lighthouse Church in Sandy Hook, Mississippi. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Maurice and Don Paul Miller and four sisters, Shirley Jenkins, Mary Jenkins, Stella Rester, and Linda Smith; one grandson, Jonathon Crosby; one great grandson, Dustin Crosby.

Mrs. Smith is survived by four sons, Ed Smith and wife, Sherry of Bogalusa, Ricky Smith and wife, Ruth of Bogalusa, David Smith of Tennessee and Randy Smith and wife, Crystal of Bogalusa; five daughters, Reba Lowe of Leesville, Louisiana, Patricia Mizell of Natalbany, Louisiana, Pam Athey and husband, Jerry of Bogalusa, Nancy Millien of Thomas, Louisiana and Darlene Williams of Denham Springs, Louisiana and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
