STPSO: Traffic Violation Leads to Narcotics Charges After Pursuit

At approximately 1:00 am Saturday (October 30, 2021) morning, a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a black 2014 Mercedes C63 AMG, while traveling on Interstate 12. The driver refused to stop and fled the police. A brief pursuit ensued and ended on Louisiana Highway 434 in Lacombe. Deputies discovered 180 Ecstasy tablets, 8.8 pounds of Marijuana, and $4845.00 inside the vehicle. 

Duvell London III, age 23 and of St. Rose, was taken into custody and charged with Careless Operation, Switched Plates, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Transactions Involving Proceeds From Drug Offenses, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 CDS (2 counts), and Aggravated Flight From Officer.
