Robert James Dyson

May 09, 1953 - October 27, 2021

On October 27, 2021 Robert "Bobby" James Dyson gained his wings. He was 68.

Bobby was born on May 09, 1953 to Roscoe and Odie Lee (Brown) Dyson in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Bobby was a graduate of Bogalusa High School Class Of 1970. He was a member of the Band.  Upon graduating he joined the U.S. Army. After serving 20 years, he retired in 1990 and moved to Lawton, OK, where he worked as a dispatcher for the City.

Bobby was a devoted Dallas Cowboys number one fan, while he was in the military.

Bobby was a member of the Armed Forces International Basketball Team while stationed in Europe. He also played basketball for Central Memorial High School.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 22 years; Vivian (Allen) Dyson, his loving daughters; Diya Dyson of Austin, TX and Pauline Dyson of Arlington, TX and a devoted stepson Armon Allen of Rex, GA., grandchildren; Duronte L. Dyson-Henry, Dyasia U. Lucas of Austin, TX and Dominic J. Dyson-Way of Temple, AZ, step grandchildren Quichon Jones of Rex, GA, Armane of Fayetteville AR, Armani Broughton and Andrew Larsen of Rex, GA, his namesake and twin, great nephew Robert James Dyson II a devoted nephew, Gerald "Gator" (Camellia) Smith of Bogalusa, LA, Brothers; Jerry Wayne Dyson of Bogalusa, LA, Billy Wayne Dyson of Lawton, OK, Sisters; Williestine D. Magee of Lawton, OK, Almalean D. Zackary of Chicago, IL, nieces Laquisha Dyson, Charmine and Christy Parker of Bogalusa, LA and Ronette Dyson of New Orleans, LA, Nephews; Patrick and Berry Magee Of Lawton, OK, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends and the mother of his daughters Betty  Aldridge of North Richland , TX

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Odie Lee Dyson, brothers Ollie Gene, Jimmy, McAuthor and Perry Dyson and sisters; Julia Faye and Virgil Dyson.

Bobby it saddens us to know that you are no longer here for us to talk to touch or laugh with.  You will be missed.

Services will be at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on November 5, 2021 The Funeraol will be at 2:00 PM on November 6, 2021.
