Maxie Cooper Gerald

March 15, 1932 - November 27, 2021

Maxie Cooper Gerald, age 89 and a resident of Pine, passed away at 11:15 pm Saturday night November 27, 2021 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a longtime member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church and retired after serving as a school bus driver for the Pine schools for 15 years. Maxie also worked alongside her husband raising beef cattle for many years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, especially her delicious dressing. Maxie loved traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains and spending time with her family.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Janet Gerald of Baton Rouge, Kim and Rodney Stogner of Pine; Grandson: Kolby Brock Stogner; Special Friends: Danny and Missy Jones; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her husband Brock Gerald, parents Jordan Cooper and Olevia Crain Cooper, sisters Lucy Jane Stogner, Margie Sonier, Dottie Gerald, brothers Billy Ray Cooper, Charlie Cooper.

Visitation will be at Pine Missionary Baptist Church (27098 Hwy. 62, Franklinton) on Tuesday November 30th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 am Wednesday with Bro. Adam Luper, Bro. Lynn Martin and Bro. David Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Gerald Cemetery.
