Obituary

Emma Watson Dillon

April 07, 1940 - October 29, 2021

I hear a voice you cannot hear which says, I must not stay. I see a hand you cannot see, which beckons me away.

On October 29, 2021 the Lord called Emma Watson Dillon home to her heavenly place.

She was born o April 7, 1940 to the proud parents of Denman Watson, Sr. and Evlean Watson. She was one of eleven children. Emma was baptized at a young age in Midway Church Christ Holiness under the leadership of Rev. Hollins.

Emma attended Washington Parish School and graduated in 1959. She attended Cosmetology School in Bogalusa, LA, where she received her license in Cosmetology.

During her young adult years, she married Charles Dillon in 1963 and after this union she relocated to Rochester, New York. Living in Rochester for many years, she was well known for her famous cooking and being a mother figure to many of her nieces, and nephews. She was employed at Star Market where she retired from. Emma returned to Louisiana to care for her mother and sister.

Emma was a faithful member of Midway’s Kitchen Committee until her health started to fail.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  at Midway Church Ministry Center followed by funeral at 11:00 a.m.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
