Cub Scout Pack 104 Celebrates Halloween at October Pack Meeting

Cub Scout Pack 104 of Washington Parish recently celebrated the Halloween season at their October Pack Meeting along with inducting new Bobcat Badge recipients. The first order of business was the Posting of the Colors by the Pack 104 Color Guard. After the Scout Oath and Law were recited by the Pack, Cubmaster Nick Crawford began the Bobcat Badge ceremony.

The Bobcat badge is designed to introduce Cub Scouts to the values of Scouting. To earn the Bobcat Badge, each Scout must learn to say the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, show the Cub Scout sign, show the Cub Scout handshake, say the Cub Scout Motto, and give the Cub Scout Salute.

Scouts earning the Bobcat Badge in October were Avery Thompson, Holden Chaffman, Graham Thomas, and Dominc Seal.

Following the ceremony and presentation of other awards and acknowledgements, the Pack enjoyed a variety of Halloween activities, including “Mummy Wrap the Cubmasters,” pumpkin decorating, and pinatas.

If you have a child who would like to join Cub Scouts, please visit on any Tuesday night at 6:00 PM at Mt. Zion Church on Lee Road, email pack104.franklinton@gmail.com or call (985) 515-4563. You can also visit their Facebook page by searching Cub Scout Pack 104.
