Anthony Wayne Morvant, Sr.
August 21, 1956 - October 3, 2021
Anthony Wayne Morvant, Sr., age 65 and a resident of Pine died Sunday October 3, 2021 at his home. Tony was a United States Navy veteran where he worked as a mechanic on the ships he was deployed on. He later worked as an automobile mechanic for companies on the Westbank for several years and also was a truck driver for 12 years with F. Christiana & Company. He enjoyed old muscle cars and visiting area flea markets. Tony loved his pet dogs and always had several that he cared for.
Survived by: Daughter: Vickie Morvant of Amite; Son: Anthony Wayne Morvant, Jr. of California; 3 Grandsons: Bobby Chauvin, Jr., Austin Chauvin, Zachary Chauvin; Great-grandson: Austin Chauvin, Jr.; Sisters and a Brother in law: Dawn Champagne, Deborah and Robert Bruce all of Westwego; Brother in law: Wayne Dimarco of Pumpkin Center; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Dimarco Morvant, parents Troy Morvant and Mary Crain Morvant and siblings.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
