Yvonne Josephine "Honey" Bateman Bahm

January 12, 1941 - October 10, 2021

Yvonne Josephine "Honey" Bateman Bahm, age 80 and a longtime resident of Husser, La, passed away in her home after a prolonged illness.

Yvonne was born January 12, 1941 to Claude & Lillie Bateman in Franklinton, La.

She married the love of her life Justin Bahm in 1962. Yvonne and Justin were married 59 years. Yvonne and Justin subsequently traveled and lived all over the Eastern Coast with his military career, ultimately settling in Husser, La in 1992 and restored the family farm. During that time she primarily worked in childcare and floral design with a brief stint in cake decorating. Yvonne dedicated her life to her family and serving the Lord. She was an accomplished cook, and she enjoyed gardening and oil painting. She was known as Honey to everyone that knew her but most importantly to her grandchildren. Yvonne was loved by all and will be deeply missed. She is now reunited with her husband and family as they celebrate in the presence of God. She was a well-loved member of her community and Church.

Survived by: 3 Children and a spouse: Carmen G. Bahm, Paige S. Bahm, Rick and Kelly Montrose; 3 Grandchildren: Austin and Jena Bond, Amelia Lake & Mitchell Lake; Also her beloved Nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Justin just this past February, her parents Claude & Lillie McClendon Bahm, two brothers Bud & Ronnie Bateman, two sisters Shirley Creel & Connie Sue Mulina.

Visitation will be at New Sharon Baptist Church, (57370 Hwy 445 Husser, LA) on Friday, October 15, 2021from 10 am until 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon in the church with Rev. Ron Ball, Rev. Jeremy Ingram, Wallace Bahm and Rick Montrose officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
