Shirley Ann Creel Morgan

July 12, 1946 - September 28, 2021

Shirley Ann Creel Morgan, age 75 and a resident of Franklinton went to her Heavenly Home at 4:00 pm Tuesday September 28, 2021 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born July 12, 1946 and married the love of her life, the late Kenneth R. Morgan, on October 31, 1964. They were happily married for 46 years until his passing. She was a graduate of Franklinton High School and worked for many years as a laboratory technician with Gulf Dairy. Her world was her family. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always loved watching them play sports, dance recitals or any activity they were involved in. Shirley enjoyed vacationing with her family to the beach and to the mountains. She was well known for her outstanding baking skills, winning many Blue Ribbons for her German Chocolate Cake, Cream Cheese Pound Cake and Strawberry Pies.

Survived by: Children and Spouses: Kenneth Clay Morgan and Lindsay Morgan, Tracey Morgan Thomas and Jimmy Thomas; Step-Son: Keith Morgan and wife Terry Morgan; Grandchildren and Spouses: Brandi Hingle of Covington, Jimmy and Taylor Crowe, Heath and Laurie Thomas, April Thomas, Dexter Morgan, Brielle Morgan all of Franklinton; Great-grandchildren: Anna Grace, Luke, Drew, Lily Kate, Caiden, Audra Claire, Remi, Collin; Step-Mother: Vicki Creel; Sisters and Brothers in law: Bronis and Byron Brumfield, Faye and Doyle Jarrell; Also numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly as well as many friends

She was also preceded in death by her mother Audrey Magee Creel, father Buford Creel, brother W. C. Creel and other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday September 30th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Friday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Friday with Bro. Brent King and Bro. Lerand Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
