Obituary

Judy Y. Brumfield

February 05, 1962 - September 12, 2021 

Judy Y. Brumfield of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Baton Rouge General, Midcity Campus.  Judy was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 5, 1962 to Gerald L. Brumfield and Jaylee Allen. She was a graduate of Mt. Hermon High School and worked many years in various positions as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Many people do not know that she was the founder and owner of Yolonda’s Cleaning Service; she truly enjoyed working for her clientele.

Judy was a member of Agape Worship Center in Summit, Ms. until her sudden death. She loved to praise and worship the Lord. Though she consider herself no singer, her favorite song was “Jesus is real to me”. 

Judy leaves to cherish six children, three biological and three adopted, Marchantia Brumfield, (Hammond, LA), Jullian D. Brumfield, (Amite, LA), Chad L. Brumfield, (Bryan, TX), Charles W. Brumfield, (Marrero, LA.), Anthony Brumfield, (Dallas, TX), and Adrianna D. LaBostrie, (Hammond, LA); one sister, Sharon T. Brumfield, (Varnado, LA); three daughter-n-laws, one son- n- law, and nine grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Gerald L. Brumfield, her father, Jaylee Allen, a sister, Crystal L. Stanford and her grandparents.

There will be a drive through viewing on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Agape Worship Center 1164 Old Brookhaven Rd in Summit, MS 39666. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Franklinton, LA are in charge of arrangements.
