Needham Herman "Buddy" Branch, Jr.

June 7, 1940 - September 24, 2021

Needham Herman "Buddy" Branch, Jr., age 81 and a resident of the Stateline Community, passed away peacefully Friday September 24, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He was a dedicated member of Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church. Buddy was retired after a long career with Temple/Inland. He loved trail riding and always had a team of horses, mules and wagons. Buddy enjoyed sitting on his porch drinking a good cup of coffee. He was a devoted husband and pillar for his family.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 58 years Wilda Thomas Branch; son and daughter in law Joseph and Lorraine Branch; three grandsons and a spouse Jordan and Shenia Branch, Thomas Branch and Jackson Branch; two great-grandchildren Avery Branch and Gavin Branch; sister Betty Lee of Biloxi and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son Melvin Lemar Branch, parents Needham Branch Sr. and Dixie Varnado Branch, brother Ray Branch, sisters Virginia Warren, Maxine Stewart, and Ann Daniels

Visitation will be at Forest Haven Missionary Baptist Church (31153 Conrad Seals Road, Franklinton) on Monday September 27th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Monday with Eld. Richard Magee and Eld. Yancy Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas/Forest Haven Cemetery.
