Tessie Lizette "Tess" Starnes

April 11, 1985 - September 18, 2021

Tessie Lizette "Tess" Starnes, age 36 and a resident of Pine, died Saturday September 18, 2021. She was born on April 11, 1980 in Bogalusa. Tess was a 2003 graduate of Pine High School where she played on the Lady Raiders Basketball Team. She later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at several elderly care facilities in the area, most recently at Good Samaritan Living Center. Tess always enjoyed spending time with daughters, family and friends.

Survived by: 2 Daughters: Mya’ Starnes, Mia’ Watson; Parents: George Starnes and Barbara Warren Starnes; Sister: Hollie Starnes; Brother and Sister in law: Ellis and Jennifer Starnes; Nephew and Nieces: Clayden Smith, Kadi Starnes, Dolores Starnes, Patlin Starnes; Special Friend: Donald “Pee Wee” Dawson; Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jay Warren and Elvie Barber Warren, George Starnes and Essie Hartzog Starnes.

Visitation will be at Bible Baptist Church (29567 Hwy. 424, Franklinton) on Friday September 24th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Friday with Rev. Harold Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in the Jay Warren Family Cemetery.
