Wilfred Joseph Chaisson, Jr.

May 19, 1959 - September 05, 2021

Wilfred Joseph Chaisson, Jr., a native of Pointe Aux Chenes, LA and a resident of Kentwood, LA, went home to be with His Lord Jesus on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was born May 19,1959 in Houma, LA and was 62 years of age. 

He had a love to play his bass guitar, hunting, fishing, shrimping, and crabbing, and oystering. He loved having His family around and always cooking for them. He played bass for the Gospel bands "Malachi" & "Testimony" and his mother and church worship team. He will be missed by all who had the honor of meeting and knowing Him. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rosalee Brunet Chaisson; 5 children, Chris Chaisson & Larry Bellow, Victoria & Trey Hutchinson, Nicholas & Katie Chaisson, Jacob & Celeste Chaisson, Derrick Chaisson, Jesse Dixon and many kids in the community that looked up to him as a father figure both near and far; his pride and joy: 15 grandchildren, Matthew, Trinity, Madison, Landen, Destyni, Kellan, Blayze, Lathyn, Lawson, Kaylen, Landon, Braylee, Bristen, Briella and Brynn; father Wilfred J Chaisson, Sr.; brothers and sisters; George & Lawri Chaisson, Michael & Marie Chaisson, Diana & Scott Landry,Ethel & Danny Boquet. He has numerous nieces and nephews. 

He now joins his 3 sons Casey, Jarred, Justin Chaisson, His Mother Mary Jane E Chaisson; grandson, Kaynen Chaisson; grandparents, Antoine & Eve Chaisson and George and Melanie Ellender in Heaven. 

Family invites all that was touched by Him to join them in a celebration of his life with visitation at Cornerstone Church of Amite 4:00pm until 9:00pm on Monday September 13, and from 9:00am until services at 12:00pm noon on Tuesday September 14, 2021.
