Three Tangi Men Quickly Arrested for Murder in Franklinton

Very early Saturday (August 28, 2021) morning, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division responded to Franklinton to investigate a murder which had just occurred. Officers quickly arrested three Tangipahoa Parish men and booked them into the Washington Parish Jail on a charge of the second degree murder of twenty-three year old Xykie Barker, a resident of Tammy Lane.

The three Tangipahoa Parish men are: Elisha Brown (age 19 and a resident of Wood Scale Road in Hammond), Elijah Jaquarius Williams (age 19 and also a resident of Wood Scale Road in Hammond), and Travon Washington (age 20 and a resident of Driftwood Street in Amite). The three men remain in jail waiting for bond to be set. Meanwhile, the investigation continues.

“Kudos to our detectives who were on the scene quickly and promptly made an arrest,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal. “Such despicable acts will not be tolerated. Our officers are continuing this investigation which was interrupted by Hurricane Ida. Meanwhile, the shooters are behind bars. Our officers have done their job and the fate of these men is now in the hands of the judicial system.”
