Alton "Ray" Breland
October 20, 1935 - August 9, 2021
On August 9, 2021, Mr. Alton “Ray” Breland passed away peacefully in his home. Mr. Breland was a veteran of the United States Army and the Army National Guard. He was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA.
He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Mrs. Darleen Tetterington Breland; one daughter: Bobbie (David) Powe; three grandchildren: Alex Breland, Brian Taylor, and Glynn Breland; six great-grandchildren: Aubree Breland, Colby Taylor, Cheyenne Taylor, Tatum Taylor, Ariana Breland, and Ray Breland; and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Breland was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel Alexander and Velma Breland; one son: Allen Breland; one daughter: Jane Breland; a sister: Idalee Miley; and two brothers: Elmo Breland and Louis Breland.
Services will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on August 14, 2021. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time for the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
