Sylvia A. Brumfield

November 13, 1942 - July 14, 2021

Funeral services for Sylvia A. Brumfield, age 78 and of McComb, Mississippi, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Silver Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Eddie Dupre and Reverend Donnie Coker officiating. Burial will be in the Bogue Chitto Church Cemetery in Mt. Hermon, LA.

Ms. Brumfield passed away at Marion General Hospital in Columbia, Mississippi on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born November 13, 1942 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late Verda and Doyle Miller. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Caleb Stinson; former husband and friend Brum Brumfield.

Ms. Sylvia was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Being surrounded by her family and friends was the most important thing to Sylvia. She would put her whole heart into supporting her family and everything she done in life. If her family had an event or activity, she was sure to attend.  She also loved cooking and baking. She will be truly missed by many.

Survivors include her children Dwayne Pierce, Gary Pierce, and Stacie (Ralph) Stinson; grandchildren Kristina (Shannon) Simoneaux, Joyce (Logan) Finch, Ariel (Doug) Grammer, Megan Pierce, Shelby (Will) Orlick, Zach Stinson, Tammy Dennison, and Melanie Dennison; 9 great grandchildren; sister Betty Kellum-Teter; sister-in-law Jane Brumfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Shannon Simoneaux, Will Orlick, Sam Pierce, Doug Grammer, Hugh Brown, and Austin Carino.

Visitation will be at Silver Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service at 2:00 PM.
