Chad Jeremy Bryant

September 9, 1980 - June 6, 2021

Chad Jeremy Bryant, age 40 and a resident of Franklinton, went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday June 6, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was a 1998 graduate of Franklinton High School. Chad worked alongside his father and brother in their family-owned construction business, South Steel, for many years. He was a general superintendent and enjoyed the time spent with his many coworkers. Chad enjoyed the challenge of completing the many large construction projects he was responsible for. He was a longtime member of the Ironworkers Union Local 58 in New Orleans. Chad was a devoted turkey hunter and also enjoyed other types of hunting and fishing and just being in the outdoors with his sons. He also enjoyed playing golf with them and watching them compete in the different sports they played. Chad was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Franklinton, where he loved attending and after services visiting with Pastor John Franklin and his church family.

Survived by: 2 Sons: Jeremy Lee Bryant, Jathan Chad “Bubby” Bryant; Parents: J W Bryant and Thelma Goings Bryant of Franklinton; Brother and Sister in law: Russell and Jeanie Bryant of Kokomo, MS; Sister: Rachel Bryant of Franklinton; Nieces and Nephews: Brittany and David Galloway of Franklinton, Rockelle Bryant of Kokomo, Hannah Spears of Franklinton, Brett and Megan Bryant of Kokomo; Great-niece: Riley Galloway; Also numerous cousins and many friends

He was preceded in death recently by the mother of his children Allison Brumfield Newman, sister Rhonda Bryant, grandparents Johnny and Rebecca Bryant, A.T. and Christine Goings.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday June 9th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Rev. John Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the First Pentecostal Church of Franklinton Building Fund (1214 17th Ave., Franklinton, LA 70438)
