Winfred Harold Brown

February 9, 1928 - June 23, 2021

Winfred Harold Brown, age 93 and a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday afternoon June 23, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Hammond. He was born February 9, 1928 in McComb, Mississippi and worked for 45 years constructing powerlines all throughout the southern and western United States. In Franklinton, Harold served with Earl L. Martin, Inc. building thousands of miles of electrical lines. He enjoyed vacationing to the states out west, like Texas, Arizona, California and others. Harold always loved fishing and shrimping at his camp in Slidell.

Survived by: Wife of 71 years: Inez Rushing Brown of Franklinton; Son and Daughter in law: Joey and Sheryl D. Brown of Franklinton; Grandchildren and a Spouse: Damon Brown, Rebecca B. Crain, Robin and Dustin Crowe all of Franklinton; Great-grandchildren: Zach Brown, Seth Brown, Harleigh Brown, Damon Brown, Jr., Kamon Brown, Dalton Crain, Baleigh Crain, Collin Crain, Celeste Crowe, Cade Crowe; 2 Nieces: Linda Phillips, Mary Defraites; Also numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tom Brown and Della Roberts Brown, siblings Essie Lansdell, Imer Cutrer, father in law and mother in law Elbert Rushing and Thanie Talley Rushing.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday June 26th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Ronnie Chaisson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown.

Pallbearers: Joey Brown, Damon Brown, Zach Brown, Seth Brown, Dustin Crowe, Dalton Crain

Honorary Pallbearers are Damon Brown, Jr., Collin Crain, Cade Crowe, Mike Williams
