Joseph “Joe” Cornelius, age 68 of Bogalusa, LA died May 7, 2021 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.

Affectionately known by his friends in Bogalusa as “Chicago Joe” and “Honest John”. Joseph “Joe” was born in Chicago, IL. He spent most of his life working in some form of carpentry, construction or factory work. He was a hard worker and talented craftsman. His personality was positive and infectious, which made him the life of any party. Joseph will surely be missed.

So appropriately we quote his famous parting words amongst his family “We don’t say goodbye, we say See You Later!” Joe known by his relatives as “Mr. Cornelius”

Joseph was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents and an only child.

He leaves to mourn his five siblings, a longtime companion and a host of relatives and friends.

Joseph will be laid to rest in Illinois. Future Memorial Services will be held by his family.
