Linda Diane Jarrell

July 21, 1949 - May 3, 2021

Linda Diane Jarrell, age 71 and a resident of Pine, died Monday morning May 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bogalusa on July 21, 1949. Diane was a member of Crain’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She loved sewing and making crafts and always liked to work in her flower beds and yard. Diane was a good cook, especially her tea cake cookies and egg pies. She also was excellent at making candy. Diane loved making memories with her grandchildren and family. She had a special place in her heart for her pet Yorkie “Prissy”.

Survived by: 3 Children and Spouses: Roy Jarrell, Jr. and Kim Murphy, Stacey and Paul Magee, Robyn and Roy Duncan; 10 Grandchildren and Spouses: Brittiney Magee and Woody Hughes, J.D. and Tanya Jarrell, Kevin Duncan, Johnathan and Laken Magee, Courtney and Hackley Magee, Jason Jarrell, Vickie Jarrell, Roy Jarrell, III and Jackie Jarrell, Alisha Duncan, Jordan Duncan; 7 Great-grandchildren: Addie, Lincoln, Nevaeh, Grace Lynn, Phoenix, Brynlynn, Emberly; And 2 expected great-grandchildren; Brother: Willard Carnegie; Sister: Tereze Alsobrooks; Sister in law: Verdie Caves; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Roy Jarrell, Sr., parents Esco Carnegie and Lela Jenkins Carnegie and several sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday May 5th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Thursday with Eld. Doyle Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Gerald Cemetery.

The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Encompass Hospice and Dr. Steven Ogden for their care and support.
