Daphne Elizabeth Sumera

July 3, 1957 - May 24, 2021

Daphne Elizabeth Sumera, a native of New Orleans most of her life and also Marrero for many years, but resided the past 10 years in Bogalusa where she found peaceful living on her land of Serenity. She passed away on Monday, May 24 2021, at the age of 63.

Beloved wife of Michael B. Sumera Sr.; mother to Michael B. Sumera II and Michelle E. Sumera; loving Mimi to her beloved grandsons: Matthew B. Sumera and Michael B. Sumera III. She was the daughter of June & Philip Mayerhafer and Richard & Patsy Seeling; sister of Phillip Mayerhafer, Elizabeth Mayerhafer, Pam Seeling, Ricky Seeling, Gina King, and Lisa Desforges. She was a sister-in-law to many in the Sumera family and was loved by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Danielle Duplan and Marie & Frank Breck for all the help.

Daphne started working at a doctor’s office answering phones and worked her way up to opening her own successful IT business called DTC that she ran for 20 years.

Private arrangements were entrusted to Brown-McGehee Funeral Home.
