Mrs. Verlee W. Long was called home to glory at the age of 94 on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home in Franklinton.
She was born on October 16, 1926 to the late Myrah and Rosa Wilson.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Alvin (Barbara) Long of New Orleans, LA and Craig Long of Humble, TX; five daughters, Lenoria (Rodney) Davis, Doris (Melvin) Lowe, Evelyn Smith, Bama (Joe) Wilson of Spokane, WA and Beverly Magee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Long; her mother and father; two sons, Lamar Long and Donald Long.
A drive through viewing will be Friday, May 14, 2021 from 2:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00AM at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA with Elder Alvin Partman – Pastor Officiating. Interment at the Wilson Cemetery on Old Columbia Road.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
