Dixie Sorrell Williams

January 16, 1929 - May 28, 2021

Dixie Sorrell Williams, age 92 and a resident of the Hilltop Community died Friday afternoon May 28, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church that enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains and Branson, Missouri in her younger years. Dixie loved sewing, crocheting and woodworking. She also enjoyed making flower arrangements and cooking for her family and friends.

Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Larry D. and Virginia Williams of the Hilltop Community; Daughter and Son in law: Sherry W. Cotton and Lionel Cotton of the Hilltop Community; Grandchildren and Spouses: Deanna and Jason Kellar, Leslie and Scotty Martin, Chad and Kim Chatellier, Nicole and Zack Watson, Brad Chatlellier; Great-grandchildren: Samuel Jason Kellar, Colton Martin, Brynleigh Martin, Cody Chatellier, Cameron Chatellier, Cassidy Chatellier, Dakota Watson, Montana Watson; 5 Great-great-grandchildren; 3 Sisters: Bonnie Lowery, Joyce Crain, Veona Crain; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband John Elvin Williams, parents George Ellis Sorrell and Delhia Stogner Sorrell, sister and brother in law Leatrice and Denver McKenzie, brothers in law Kelly Lowery, Shelby Crain.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday May 30th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Eld. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
