Wayne Arnez James

July 14, 1967 - April 21, 2021

Wayne Arnez James was born to Roosevelt James and the late Diann C. James. On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., he was called home to glory.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Diann C. James.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memories to a devoted, dedicated, longtime best friend and ex-wife, Barbara Conerly of Franklinton, LA; his father, Roosevelt (Bell) James of Franklinton, LA; three children, Sigourney Dykes (Lanelus Holmes Sr.), Kierra James both of Baton Rouge, LA and Wayne Arnez James Jr. of Independence, LA; one grandson, Lanelus Holmes III; two sisters, Theresa James of Franklinton, LA, and Torie James of Ponchatoula, LA; a best friend, Oliver Warren Jr. of Franklinton, LA; a devoted favorite cousin, Melissa Miller of Griffin, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.

Wayne was well known for his laughter and smile. Everyone he came in contact with loved him dearly. He will be missed by all.  

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00PM at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Norwert Hills ~ Pastor Officiating. Interment – Sweet Rest Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
