Donald Blaine Malley

October 24, 1968 - April 25, 2021

Donald Blaine Malley, age 52 and a resident of the Thomas Community died Sunday April 25, 2021. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on October 24, 1968 to Charles Elijah Malley and Doris Hershbarger Malley, the youngest of seven children. Blaine has lived in the Bogalusa area and Washington Parish since moving with his family in 1977. He was a skilled carpenter, cook and joke teller. He had a great sense of humor and he loved to make others laugh. Blaine always enjoyed cooking for big family gatherings. He loved the Lord and people, having distributed bibles and shoes to the homeless in Los Angeles along with many other thoughtful examples through the years. Blaine loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Christyl Roper of Branson, MO, Dynasty and Jordan Wood of Thomas; Grandchildren: Noah Roper, Aubrey Branson, Atreus Branson, Julius Wood, Juliet Wood; Siblings: Tom “Charles” Malley, Kenneth L. Malley, Mary R. Heinritz, Janet L. Buckman; Special Friend: Patricia Turnage of Bogalusa; Also numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David J. Malley, Michael W. Malley and other family members.

A memorial service for his family and friends will be held at a later date.
