Joseph Luther Pasterio

July 16, 1960 - March 23, 2021

Joseph Luther Pasterio, age 60, was born July 16, 1960 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 23, 2021 in Portageville, Missouri. He was a resident of Mount Hermon that enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Joe, as a young man, worked for Asplundh and in local gravel pits before he began a 35 year career as a truck driver. He currently was driving chemical tankers cross-country for Groendyke Transport. Joe loved his job and visited sites all over the United States and Canada. He carried his Bible everywhere he went and read it often. Joe liked listening to country and gospel music and watching his favorite TV shows to pass the time.

Survived by: Mother: Mattie McNabb Pasterio of Mt. Hermon; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Elizabeth and Shane Hill of Ponchatoula, Linda Pasterio of Mt. Hermon; 3 Nephews and a Spouse: Chris and Barbara Hill, Shawn Hill, Stone Guy; Also numerous other family members, coworkers and friends

He was preceded in death by his father Luther Pasterio, grandparents Frank and Robbie McNabb, grandfather Joseph Pasterio and grandmother Leola P. Barber.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday April 2nd in the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery (25393 Mount Pisgah Road, Mt. Hermon, LA).
