Obituary

Elouise Harris Quave Parker

September 21, 1937 - March 16, 2021

Elouise went to her heavenly home to see her Savior and her family who has gone on before her on March 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

Elouise was a past member of Union Avenue Baptist Church for over 40 years where she led the pre-school department for over 17 years along with Vacation Bible school. Her joy was working with the youth of the church, as later, she became an active Youth Sponsor. She enjoyed hosting the youth members at her home with love, and plenty of food and plenty of games ready to play. She enjoyed sponsoring the youth members and made lasting memories with them riding the famous Union Avenue Baptist Church grey hound bus to the youth camps at Boggs Springs, Arkansas and Glendale Youth Encampment. Later in life, she became a faithful member at Memorial Baptist Church, where she served on several committees. Elouise helped nurture many of Bogalusa’s toddlers as she opened her doors to them at Elouise Day Care. She also worked for the JC Penny and South Central Bell.

Those left to cherish her memories are, Kim Quave Lively (Brian), Helen Quave Cotton (Billy), and Monica Quave Triana (Brad) all of Bogalusa LA; and her step-children, Susan Parker (Darryl) Singletary of Bogalusa, LA, and James “Jim” (Christie) Parker, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Heidi Lively Rose of Petal, MS, Dustin Lively (Melanie) of Bogalusa, LA, Jessica Miller Stewart (Shaun) of Bogalusa LA, Hailie Cotton Adams (Andy) of Bogalusa, LA;  step-grandchildren, Grayson Parker of Reno, NV, Adreane Kuhn of Bogalusa, LA, Richard D. Kuhn of Bogalusa, LA. She is also survived by great-grands, Brayden, Mason, Danyan, Addyson and Cody, and Baby Allen Ray Adams to be born on March 17, 2021.

She is also survived by her siblings, Elbert Harris (Brenda), Frank Harris (Jackie) both of Bogalusa, LA, Mary Harris Aman (Tommy) of Morrow, GA, and Faye Harris Foust of Baton Rouge, LA; She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Smith Harris; her first husband, Walter Kenneth Quave, her second husband, James “David” Parker, Sr., and a special brother-in-law, Thomas “Tommy” Foust.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P.M with her brother-in-law, Rev. Thomas “Tommy” Aman officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA

The family and Funeral Home request Mask to be worn and Social Distancing.
