Mt. Hermon Woman Sought in Alleged “Road Rage” Incident

Kirsten Martin (age 40 and of Mt. Hermon, is wanted by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office on charges of Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Simple Assault. 

The incident occurred on February 17, 2021 around 11 a.m. A female and her young child were traveling on Hwy. 38 in Kentwood when the accused aggressively passed her – in a no pass zone – before blocking the lane of travel with her vehicle causing the victim to come to a stop. Martin is then accused of exiting her vehicle and walking toward the victim. In fear, the victim turned her car around and retreated. 

The suspect reportedly reentered her vehicle and proceeded to follow the victim. She passed the victim a second time, again attempting blocking the roadway. The victim bypassed Martin’s vehicle and traveled directly to the Kentwood Police Department seeking assistance.

Further investigation into this incident led detectives to discovering Martin’s identity.
