Mary Ellen Toney Barber

November 21, 1941 - February 7, 2021

Mary Ellen Toney Barber, age 79 and a resident of the Warnerton Community died Sunday February 7, 2021 at her home. She was the secretary at Southern Seafood for many years before retiring. Mary enjoyed crocheting in her younger years and had a special place in her heart for her pet cat “Sasha”. She always enjoyed playing Bingo and had even learned to play it on her computer at home. Mary liked to read and spend quality time with her beloved family and grandchildren.

Survived by: 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Keith Barber, Clint and Stacy Barber all of Mt. Hermon; Daughter and Son in law: Pam and Jeff Taylor of the Star Hill Community; 10 Grandchildren and Spouses: Brian and Chelsea Barber, Kacie and Seth Urban, Steven and Casey Barber, Jessica Barber, Kaitlyn and Silas Ladner, Clint Polk, Chris and Tabitha Taylor, Justin Taylor, David Taylor, Mechelle and Mathew Hyland; 18 Great-grandchildren: Bryce Barber, Madison Barber, Alyssa Urban, Lane Urban, Braydon Bryan, Harley Naquin, Jaxson Crosby, Nevaeh Ladner, Jordyn Ladner, Kori Ladner, Easton Barber, Drew Polk, Paige Polk, Mason Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Dawson Taylor, Emma Hyland, Daniel Hyland

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years D.V. Barber, parents Olan Toney and Mary Inez Toney, sister and brother in law Bobbie and Lander Spears, daughter in law Ginger Manning Barber and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday February 11th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Eld. Lavon Taylor and Eld. Travis Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Star Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
