Tessie Frickie Graham
July 24, 1919 - February 19, 2021
Tessie Frickie Graham, age 101 and a resident of the Stoney Point Community, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday night February 19, 2021 at Good Samaritan Living Center. Tessie was born near Franklinton on July 24, 1919. She was a strong Christian woman and a longtime member of Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church that truly loved the Lord and her church family. She loved witnessing to others every chance she could including to her young family as they “played church” years ago or to the aides that helped her later in life. She was a blessing to so many. Tessie was an excellent cook, especially her dumplings, stewed potatoes or biscuit pudding. She always enjoyed mowing her yard and “babysitting” for her large family.
Survived by: 4 Children and Spouses: Paul and Catherine Graham of Walker, Wava and Danny Hill of Amite, Alvin Graham of Stoney Point, Pat and Robert Hayden of Roseland; 15 Grandchildren and Spouses: Pam and Danny Clark, Sheila and Hessie Willie, Bambi and Ashley Stegall, Tony and Janyeiry Graham, Lori Graham, Jim and Rhea Graham, Robin Phelps, Wendy Neu, Jodi and Nikki Varnado, Dawn and Allen White, Tiffany and Todd Edwards, Emily and Clint Womack, Angela and Donivan Pounds, Amanda Hayden, April and Bruce Wells; 36 Great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; Sister and Brother in law: Nell and Lawrence Sylvest; Brother and Sister in law: Dudley and Helen Frickie; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her son J.C. Graham, infant son Donald Graham, husband Alfred Graham, parents George Frickie and Edna Corkern Frickie, a sister, 3 brothers and other family members.
Visitation will be at Stoney Point Missionary Baptist Church Monday February 22nd from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Monday with Eld. Don McDaniel and Eld. Everette Broome officiating. A private burial will follow in the Graham Family Cemetery.
