Elaine Conerly

December 10, 1929 - February 09, 2021

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4 

On February 9, 2021 the Angels of the Lord came and carried our beloved Mother home to be with our Heavenly Father.

Mrs. Elaine Conerly was born December 10, 1929 to the late Mr. Marvin Toomer and Mrs. Effie Magee Toomer in Franklinton, Louisiana.

She was married to the late Shelby Conerly and to that union was born six children.  Mrs. Elaine was a member of Bethel Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A.  She worked many years at Franklinton Elementary School. She also was a housekeeper and caregiver. She was a loving and caring mother.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Betty (Alvin) Magee of Tucson, Arizona,  Patricia Conerly of San Diego, California, Brenda (Irvin) Williams of Franklinton, Louisiana, Shelby (Beverly) Conerly of Franklinton, Louisiana, Frederick (Bambi) Conerly of Seattle, Washington, and Constance Conerly, Round Rock, Texas; 15 Grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; Keith H. Garret (A Son in Love); three sisters, Otheal Wilson, Lillian Davis of Franklinton, Louisiana, Sarah Harvey of Los Angeles, California; a sister-in-law, Melvadean Conerly and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jerry (John) Taylor, Cora (Ross) Dykes, and a brother, Oliver (Ida) Toomer.

Services will be at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana. A Drive-through viewing will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on February 22, 2021. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on February 23, 2021.
