Evelyn Bridges Howard Thompson

May 11, 1942 - February 12, 2021

Evelyn Bridges Howard Thompson was born on May 11, 1942 in Tunica, Mississippi to the union of Julius and Rosa Bridges.

She was the youngest of 7 children of whom 5 proceeded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Deckzell Thompson; one brother, Edward Bridges of Chicago Illinois; a beloved niece, Beatrice (James) Richardson of Washington Park Illinois.

At the age of 17 she met and married, Woodzell Howard and to this union ten children were added, Calvert (Lora) Howard Fort Worth Texas, Sandra Allen Henderson Texas, Yvonne (Vyncent) Stewart, Bentonville Arkansas, Woodzell Howard Jr., Fort Worth Tx, Kenneth (Muriel) Howard, Japan, Larry Howard, Henderson, Tx, Lisa (Leon) Bobo Russellville AR, Tracy (Sharron) Howard Ft. Worth, Tx, Arthur (Loretha) Howard Wentzville, Mo, Nathaniel (Leanna) Rachel, Florissant, Mo. She also leaves 23 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and good friends. She was raised by her great grandparents, Edward and Mary Dunlap in Lexa, Arkansas

She was baptized into Christ at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

She later moved to Dardanelles Arkansas where she met and married Deckzell Thompson and they moved to Angie Louisiana where they establish their home for the past 25 years.

Evelyn... an Elegant Virtuous Effervescent Loving Youthful Nurturing soul departed this life on February 12, 2021 in Angie Louisiana.

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 3:00PM – 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00AM at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment – Robinson Cemetery. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
