The Covington Police Department arrested Zachary Stephen Riche, age 22 and of Hammond, Thursday (February 18, 2021) on the charges of Third Degree Rape (2 counts) and Sexual Battery.
Riche reportedly has a prior arrest for a sexual assault-related charge in Tangipahoa Parish with similar motives. Riche connects with women online through the dating application called “Bumble.” Riche then meets with the women and then sexually assaults them.
The Covington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division asks for anyone else who may have been a victim of Riche to please contact Sergeant Jessica Restel at 985-214-6511.
