On Wednesday, Gov. John Bel Edwards signed proclamations setting the dates for special elections in Louisiana, after consultation with Louisiana’s Secretary of State. Included is the election in Louisiana’s Fifth Congressional District following the tragic death of Luke Letlow following a battle with COVID-19.
The qualifying period will be from January 20 to January 22, 2021. The primary will be on March 20, 2021 and the runoff, if necessary, will be April 24, 2021.
