Alan Lester Thomas

October 16, 1984 - January 10, 2021

Alan Lester Thomas, age 36 and a resident of the Lawrence Creek Community, passed away Sunday morning January 10, 2021 at his home. “Buck”, as he was known to his friends and family, was a 2003 graduate of Pine High School where he played on the Raiders baseball and football teams. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Buck was an avid dove, deer and turkey hunter. He was always a kind soul that loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Buck enjoyed playing with his young nephews and cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Survived by: Parents: Lester Thomas and Janet Barber Thomas of Lawrence Creek; Brother and Sister in law: Adam Thomas and Hannah Pritchard Thomas of Lawrence Creek; 2 Nephews: Jase Thomas, Jaxson Thomas; Grandmothers: Margie Thomas Barber, Eloise Spears Thomas both of Lawrence Creek; Aunts and Uncles: Kerry and Louis Sawyer of Tylertown, Valerie Jordan of Lawrence Creek, LaQuine and Janice Thomas of Isabel, Elton Thomas of Lawrence Creek; Also numerous cousins, other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Ottis Barber and Elbert Thomas, great-grandparents Matthew and Edith Thomas and other family members.

Visitation will be at Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church Saturday January 16th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2:00 pm Saturday with Eld. Duane Ball and Eld. Don Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery.
