Clara Mae Volz

March 12, 1938 - December 28, 2020

Clara Mae Volz, age 82 and a resident of Pine, LA, passed from this life surrounded by her family Tuesday evening at her home. She was born in Mount Hermon on March 12th, 1938. She was a Christian, loved Jesus, & was a member of New Life UPC in Bogalusa. Clara enjoyed reading, crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, sewing, bargain shopping, solving crosswords, and putting puzzles together. She had a very quick wit, loved to joke & laugh, as well as spend time with her family.

Survived by her children Vickie Millien of Thomas, LA, Rhonda Smith of Bogalusa, LA, Charles “Randy” (Cathy) Sullivan of Alford, FL, Robin Talley of Bogalusa, LA, Tresha (David) Phelps of Pine, LA; One brother, Donald (Karen) Varnado Franklinton, LA; Her granddaughter, Nancy Bates, whom she lived with & who helped care for her along with her fur-baby Ginger/Judy; 17 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by; her parents Albert Varnado & Della Mae Parker; 1 child-Carla Sullivan; late husband Charles Volz; Sisters: Geneva Varnado, Willie Mae Varnado Dubbison, Peggy Sue Varnado Broussard, Mary Margaret Collins, Doris Varnado Perez

Visitation will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home Saturday January 2nd from 11am until the service at 2pm. Rev Wesley Quave officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
