Obituary

Daniel Jacob Cooper

April 18, 1979 - December 10, 2020

Daniel Jacob Cooper, age 41 and a resident of Mandeville, passed away early Thursday morning December 10, 2020. He attended West Jefferson High School. Daniel was a veteran of the United States Army, having served tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq during his seven years of honorable service to his country. Daniel had a very charismatic personality that served him well while he worked as a bartender at Applebee’s, Outback Steakhouse and other businesses around Covington and Mandeville. He was generous to others and always seemed like “the Life of the Party”. He enjoyed New Orleans Saints football and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Survived by: Children: McKenzie Cooper, Cain Christopher Cooper both of Mandeville; Infant Granddaughter: Audrey Lynn Sanders; Father: Barry Cooper, Sr. of Mt. Hermon; Sister and Brother in law: Megan and Michael Watts of Albany; Brothers and a Sister in law: John Cooper, Ryan Cooper both of New Orleans, Barry Cooper, Jr. and Amber Cooper of Mt. Hermon; Nephews and Nieces: Scott, Anthony, Hailey, Bradley, Isabella, Aubrey, Austin, Brianna; Grandmother: Laura Allelo of Mt. Hermon; Grandfather: Harvey Cooper of Waveland, MS; Girlfriend: Ashleigh Taylor of Mandeville; Former Wife and Mother of His Children: Andrea Comeaux Cooper; Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Toni Lynn Martinez Cooper, brother Christopher Curtis Cooper, grandfather Joe Allelo and grandmother June Fisher.

Visitation will be at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church (41088 Hwy. 438, Mt. Hermon, LA) on Wednesday December 16th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Wednesday with Rev. Calvin Crowe officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
