Janice Knight Thornhill

July 24, 1937 - October 03, 2020

Janice Knight Thornhill, age 83 and of McComb, MS., passed away Saturday October 3, 2020 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. 

Graveside services will be Tuesday 1:00 PM at Hollywood Cemetery with Dr. David Millican officiating.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thornhill was born on July 24, 1937 in Franklinton, LA to the late Wilton and Evie Knight.

Her passion was cooking for her family; master of an iron skillet and had a way to cook everything JE brought home.  When a stray showed up that he didn’t bring home, she fed them too. Always a lover of pets, home wasn’t home without one. 

Janice devoted her life to her children, cherished her grandchildren and adored her great grandchildren.  Her sweet smile will be missed all who’ve known her and her flair will never be forgotten

She was preceded in death by her parents Wilton and Evie Knight; her husband J. E. Thornhill; her son Barry Thornhill, one sister Elaine K. Seals and a grandog Tab.

Survivors include her daughter Sally Thornhill of Jackson, MS; one brother John Knight and his wife Freddie of Franklinton, LA; one sister Elois Stewart of McComb, MS; one sister in law Dorothy Howell and her husband Buster of McComb, MS; her grandchildren Ashleigh T. Copeland and husband Josh of Tuscaloosa, AL; Bradley Thornhill of Summit, MS; great grandchildren Gage and Maci Copeland and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
