Mary Aline Jenkins Fucich Stamatelaky

August 27, 1940 - October 3, 2020

Mary Aline Jenkins Fucich Stamatelaky, age 80 and of Franklinton, La., passed away peacefully on Saturday October 3rd 2020, with loving family by her side.

She was born to the late Wilson and Georgia Mae Jenkins on August 27th 1940 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Mary Aline graduated from Enon High School in 1958. She started her career at age 18 with the Louisiana State Police, after working with various State Agencies, her administrative skills took her to the Apollo Space program. She retired in 1993 as Special Agent in Charge with the US Government .

In 1961 she married the late Jefferson Y. Fucich together they had two children a daughter, Tammy Rachelle Fucich and son Timothy Y. Fucich. In 1984 she married the late Alexander Stamatelaky, with whom she traveled the world with for more than 30 years.

Mary Aline is survived by her daughter Tammy (Donnie) Adams of Franklinton, son Timothy Fucich of Bogalusa, her grandchildren Shawn (Trish) Glover of Ponchatoula, Shane (Marie) Glover of Covington, Brennan Fucich of Bogalusa, Bailea Fucich of Watson, a great grandson Kent O’Neal. Survivors also include sisters, Shirley (Randy) Magee and Peggy (Larry) Hyatt, Sisters-in-law Janice Jenkins, Girt Jenkins and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Fred Jenkins, Fenwick (Babe) Jenkins, sister Pauline Alder and brother-in-law Charles M. Alder.

The family extends their gratitude to Nettie Tate, Southeast Louisiana Home Health, & Compassus Hospice of Mandeville for the gentle, loving care she received during her illness.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Magee Cemetery.
