James Alvin Miller, Sr.

January 21, 1928 - October 23, 2020

James Alvin Miller, Sr., a resident of Greensburg, LA, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at his home. He was born January 21, 1928 in Kentwood, LA and was 92 years of age. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. 

He is survived by daughter, Nancy Miller; son, Gary Miller and wife, Cindy; 3 sisters, Myron Little, Bobbye Givens, and Shirley Distefano; brother, Woodrow Miller; grandchildren, Scott Miller, Michael Miller, Jeremy Miller, Andrew Miller, Joe Miller, Monica Chapman, Carol Ann Newcomb, Josh Miller, Daryl Miller, Ronnie Miller, Jamie Miller, April Miller, Dawn Miller, Misty Miller, and Lilly Miller; great-grandchildren, Shelby Miller, Michayla Miller, Madelynn Miller, Tyler Miller, Brianna Webb, Evan Webb, Chase Miller, Cassie Miller, Taylor Chapman, Cailyn Chapman, Joshua Chapman, Skyler Miller, Kaitlynn Miller, Nyomie Miller, Makayla Miller, Landon Miller, Greyson Miller, Kelsey Miller, and Raegen Miller. 

Preceded in death by wife, Marion Miller; parents, Archie Miller and Tincie Miller; children, James Miller, Jr., Roy Miller, Wayne Miller, Rodney Miller, Darlene Spyker, and Carol Ann Miller; brothers, R. T. Miller, Vernon Miller, Charles Miller and Carl Miller. 

Visitation at Lewiston Baptist Church, Kentwood, from 9:00AM until religious services at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Services conducted by Rev. Cory Morris. Interment Lewiston Cemetery, Kentwood, LA.
