Barbara Gayle Penton

October 13, 1942 - October 7, 2020

Barbara Gayle Penton, age 77 and a resident of Folsom/Loranger Community, died Wednesday night October 7, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a former longtime resident of Washington Parish that worked in the accounting for ABC Insurance for many years. Gayle was a member of Victory in Prayer Outreach Ministries, who always enjoyed tea time with her prayer group each week. Gayle loved sewing and crocheting and had made alterations on countless wedding gowns for brides through the years and also many aprons for herself and family. She recently had sewn a thousand face coverings, that she provided to all those that needed them during these times. She was also a graduate of Beauty School. Gayle loved completing puzzles, watching Hallmark movies and spending time with grandchildren and beloved great-grandchildren.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and Sons in law: Theresa and Chris Graham of Denham Springs, Brenda and Roland Reid of Folsom; Son: James Richard Randol and Melissa Adams of the Stoney Point Community; Grandchildren and Spouses: Amber Whittington, Alaina and Logan Walther, Madison Levert, Jeremy and Lynsey Ebarb, Misty and Wayne Raborn, Caylynn and Marvin Cutrer, Jessi McMorris, Tylar and Carrel Randol, Lea-Ann Randol and fiancé Ryan Dupont, Shane Randol, Coy Randol, McKenzie Polkey, Camryn Polkey, Nick Polkey; 12 Great-grandchildren; Sisters and a Brother in law: Martha and Doyle Ladner, Betty and John Rockco, Dora Penton; Brother: David L. Penton; Also numerous, nieces, nephews and other family members

She was preceded in death by her parents Martin H. Penton and Lora Thompson Penton, brothers Tommy Lane Penton, Wayne Penton, an infant sister Jackie Neal Penton, grandson Arron Randol and great-granddaughter Jaylynn Ebarb.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday October 13th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Patrick Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilmer Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
