Obituary

James Edward Hyman

January 7, 1953 - September 29, 2020

James Hyman passed away Tuesday evening September 29, 2020 at his home in Bush, LA. James enjoyed being outdoors fishing, gardening and doing all sorts of beautiful wood work. One of his favorite holidays was Mardi Gras, he enjoyed all the people and being with family and friends he spent time with during the parades. During his free time he would watch all the old western movies and all the old war movies. James adored his only grandchild Nadi Ann Olessya Gummere, she called him “Grandfather”.

James is survived by his loving wife of forty two years Mrs. Patricia Brewer Hyman of Bush, LA. One son Owen James Hyman Water Valley, TX. Two daughters Charities Victoria Hyman of New Orleans, LA., and Frances Gail Gummere and her husband Daniel Sherman Gummere of Anita Springs, LA. One sister Judith Gohr of Houston, TX. He is also survived by one granddaughter the apple of his eye Nadia Ann Olessya Gummere of Abita Springs, LA.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd William Hyman and Edith Mildred Johnson Hyman. One brother Thomas Lloyd Hyman.

Services will be at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana on October 3, 2020. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Officiating the services will be Rev. Jeff Sims. Interment will be at Holmes Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Owen Hyman, Daniel Gummere, David O’Brian, John Gummere, Charitie Hyman and Frances Hyman.
