Florida Man Found to Have Makings of Marijuana Grow Operation in Lacombe

While investigating a suspicious vehicle in the Lacombe area Wednesday (October 21, 2020) night, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies located the makings of a marijuana grow operation. A deputy was conducting routine patrols on Bremermann Road in Lacombe when he observed a suspicious vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Raymond Justice (age 22) of Bradenton, Florida, told deputies he was travelling to Florida from California.

Inside the vehicle, the deputies located 170 bags of suspected marijuana seeds, individually packaged raw marijuana and THC wax. Several items used for the manufacturing and cultivations of marijuana, including premium planting soil, ultraviolet lights, a portable grow tent, blower motors and PH testers, were also located inside the vehicle along with a 40-caliber pistol.

Raymond Justice was arrested and booked in the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the charges of Illegal Possession of Firearms in presence of CDS, Possession of Clandestine Laboratory, Transportation of Clandestine Laboratory, and Possession of Schedule I Narcotics. Bond has been set at $40,000.00.

“Thanks to an alert deputy and proactive policing, this criminal is now off our streets and any future plans he may have had to illegally grow marijuana have been thwarted,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.
