Ryan F. Jefferson

August 20, 1966 - September 05, 2020

Ryan F. Jefferson, I made his earthly transition into his eternal home on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at home with his wife. He entered into the world on August 20, 1966 to the late Thomas H. Jefferson, Jr. and Joannie L. Jefferson.

Ryan graduated from Varnado High School in 1984 and later matriculated to Grambling State University where he played trumpet in the World Famed Tiger Marching Band. Black and Gold also represented the colors of his favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Felicia Spikes-Jefferson; daughter, Hope A. Jefferson; son, Ryan F. Jefferson, II; mother, Joannie L. Jefferson; brother, Brad (Debra) Jefferson; sister, Lisa M. Jefferson; and nephew/godson/brother, Thomas H. Jefferson, IV; father-in-law, Leroy Spikes; sister and brother-in-law, Dominicia (Patrick) Morgan; brother-in-law, Roy (Jameika) Spikes; christened sisters, Jamie L. Weary and Latrice Pigott; christened brother, Chavis Moses.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas H. Jefferson, Jr.; brothers, Derrie Jefferson, Kevin Jefferson, and Thomas H. Jefferson, III.; sisters, Adrienne Jefferson-Ayres; maternal grandmother, Alberta Spikes; paternal grandparents, Thomas H. and Zenia B. Jefferson; and his mother-in-law, Luaner P. Spikes.

A drive through viewing will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 2:00PM until 6:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00AM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home, 809 East 3rd Street, with Rev. Terrance August, officiating. 

Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
